Second Encounter

The second week of the program had three different issues. First, the vocational pedagogy was introduced to us since we all are teachers in a vocational organization. The class covered some aspect of pedagogical infrastructure such as learning theories.

Also one of the things a liked about that session was the discussion about learning and what does it mean to every one of us. Metaphor was the key point uses to raise such discussion. It was interesting to hear what learning looks like in everyone's mind. For me learning looks like food in general. Most of the food is good, but not everything is healthy, junk or delicious. Learning is good in general, but not everything is good to learn or to know. Some issues may turn to unsafe to know, for instance it is not good for children to know how to fix electricity while they are not measure enough; They may harm themselves.

The second interesting thing about this week was the city tour. We have discovered many good places and had to know a little bit about the history of Finland. We had taken a lot of photos and enjoyed the trip a lot. Then we were invited to a cup of coffee which showed us the generosity of the Finnish people, and we as Arab are famous of our generosity so it was very appreciated by my collogues and me.

By the end of this week we had a session about how to create and post blogs. Most of us including me were his first time to use blogger. This is why the first week reflection is not published yet. In general I liked to second week as well as the first one and I hope the rest of the program go well and smooth.
